Provided by Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Berkeley and Oakland, California Hi, I’m Bill. I’m a 3 year prostate cancer survivor. 6 years ago, when we lost my Dad to prostate cancer, I knew I was at increased risk of getting this disease. I had regular check ups, DREs, PSA checks, I exercised, ate and lived healthfully, but it wasn’t enough. When I received my diagnosis, it was a difficult period for me. I was rather fearful, confused, skeptical about my chance of survival – feeling a bit like a minnow in a shark tank. So then I decided it’s not what happens to you, it’s what you do with it. So I got busy. I set out to learn all I could about this disease. The information on Prostate Cancer and its treatments I found is huge, and sometimes rather overwhelming. As I researched, I often found conflicting data even. The cliché,”like drinking from a fire hose” really was accurate. What seemed to be lacking was a single credible clearing house of information for newly diagnosed Prostate Cancer patients, like me. Fortunately, I had excellent doctors at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center who can support my need to comprehend Prostate Cancer and its therapies. In the process, they supported me getting second opinions, even third opinions, so I could really get my mind around the disease to defeat it. I also got solid information from Markstein Cancer Education and Prevention Services and through it, was put in touch with Prostate Cancer survivors, like me, who could help me …

Spiral Up With Ava Marie – Part 1 – Dennis Hill, Biochemist cures his cancer with cannabinoid oil. Rick Simpson and Christian Laurette have “given” you the recipe to cure yourself…. free of charge. Hemp oil (cannabinoid oil) is not sold in stores, that is “Hemp seed oil” and it is good for you but it won’t cure diseases or help with pain. Hemp oil IS cannabinoids extracted from the buds of the female marijuana/hemp plant. You have to get buds or this will not be potent enough to cure serious disease; this has been proven… take my word on it or take your chances with your doctor. Starting the Blue Cure Foundation to End Prostate Cancer www.facebook.com Interviewed by Chris Kelly | Video Shot & Edited by Donald Kilgore | www.donaldkilgore.com Gabe Canales is founder of Blue Cure, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization fighting to end prostate cancer: not just an old man’s cancer. Diagnosed at age 35. From Gabe Canales – A little about the Blue Cure Foundation I’m launching: Did you know prostate cancer is more common than breast cancer? Prostate cancer strikes 1 in 6 men, while breast cancer strikes 1 in 8 women. Last year, an estimated 217730 US men were diagnosed with prostate cancer and 32050 died of the disease, the most commonly diagnosed “male cancer.” When I was diagnosed last year at age 35, like most men I had little idea what it was. Now I do — and I want to help others learn, too. So I’ve spoken across the country, written for The Huffington Post and the Houston Chronicle, met with top doctors and researchers and appeared in interviews to raise awareness and educate others. Yes, I’m committed — and I’m devoting the rest of my life to raising awareness and saving lives. That’s why this summer (2011) I’m officially launching the Blue Cure Foundation, as the “blue” men’s side of the “pink” campaign for women’s breast cancer. Our goal is to raise awareness of prostate cancer, encourage annual screenings, promote healthier lifestyles for preventative measures and reach a younger generation. Please join me in the fight to end prostate …
